Don't let the small size fool you. This book packs a bunch within it's pages.
Concepts are introduced in the first section, followed by the essential commands
(organized alphabetically and by function, with examples) for managing on
a daily basis. Keystrokes and meanings are explained throughout. The coverage
of the contents includes the shell, the filesystem structure, logging in
and out, and shutting down. Also included is a special section on writing
programs (referred to as shell scripts). Although written with Fedora Linux
in mind, the contents will apply to any Linux system. A convenient size for
referencing often, I wish more of the bulky-sized computer books could be
as concise and useful as this one.
